There's a true/false column for each subscription. The data is synced every minute with the website which houses the preference center.

Using the native Dynamic Content block capabilities within Content Builder we would be able to provide some of the simple dynamic content requirements. There will be some limitations in terms of the complexities and some of the specifics of the requirements (for example: is the requirement to just change an image or do we need to change subject line?) Using the scenario of: The person who receives this email previously rented a car of a specific model from our range, we should showcase an image of that same vehicle model in the email header. We should also include the vehicle model in the subject line: for example “Michael, your Fiat 500 is waiting for your next rental” and then continue with a picture of a Fiat 500 in the header image spot in the email.

Contact Frequency Filtering can be achieved a few different ways; the best solution will be subject to a business's existing intellectual property and use cases. I've documented 3 different (non native) ways that users can implement contact frequency filters into their sends. All have practical applications and varying levels of technical/development costs; however each of them are designed to be as simple and configurable as possible without jeopardizing the objective.

Modular Email Design: Email templates can be deconstructed into a very small list of useful display functions; namely: 1-column, 2-column LTR, 2-column RTL, 3-column LTR, 3-column RTL. Mixing, matching and nesting these options (in combination with some well written CSS) can produce every practical email design. Therefore building a boilerplate template with these rules in mind is the most practical way to support re-usability without inhibiting user-level customization.
